Sources of Supply

I hear regularly from folks who say they don’t have a supplier in their area and they want to know where to buy items mentioned on the website.  I have compiled this list to try to help.  If you know of a supplier who ships nationwide and who should be included on this list, please email me at

WELL PUMPS:  This is Bob Tabor’s site.  Good place to look for a pump you won’t have to replace in two years.

1.25 INCH WELL SCREEN:  My local Lowes, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware all carry these.  I have heard from several folks who had trouble finding them though.  Amazon carries them at –

2.00 INCH WELL SCREEN:  These are a little harder to find.  In my area only Lowes has them.  Fortunately Amazon has them at –

BRADY WELL POINT INSTALLATION KIT:  Several folks have told me the big box hardware store in their area doesn’t carry it.  Frankly, you are better off making your own but here is a link to a ready made kit:

INSIDE 1.25 INCH COUPLING:  Look in the well pump section of your hardware store for these.  They probably will not be in the PVC section.  If you can’t find them locally, Amazon has them at –

INSIDE 2.00 INCH COUPLING:  I couldn’t find these locally.

BENTONITE:  Your local well drilling supply store is the best place to buy this so you can save shipping costs.  If that doesn’t work for you, here is a company that doesn’t require you to buy a whole pallet.

4″ by 2″ Flexible Coupling  This is the coupling you need to connect your 2 inch drillhead to a 4 inch piece of PVC as described in the “Drill 10 Feet Deeper” page.  Interestingly, I couldn’t find it locally.
